House of Flavors Ice Cream Shop & Restaurant

If you come for a visit to Cartier Mansion, you need to make a stop at House of Flavors to taste Michigan's Best Ice Cream!

In 1948, the Neal family purchased an existing dairy to begin a full-fledged dairy operation. Over the next several years, their ice cream was such a hit that they decided to focus solely on the sweet, creamy dessert. In 1964, they made it official by changing the company name from Park Dairy to House of Flavors.

Today, they run one of the largest creamery operations in the state of Michigan and produce over twenty five million gallons of ice cream annually. Come on by and try a taste of what House of Flavors is famous for.

More Than Just Ice Cream

Come hungry when you visit House of Flavors because they are serving up more than just ice cream on the menu. You can get fresh diner-style food such as burgers, sandwiches, salads and soups from their full-service restaurant.

Past guests have raved about the chicken and waffles and the Sanders Famous 1/4 pound hot dog.

Prices are just right for serving families with meal entrees ranging from $5-$12.

Don't Forget Dessert

The House of Flavors definitely lives up to its name. If there's an ice cream flavor that you are craving, they probably have it. You can try out a scoop of a decadent treat such as Ultimate Peanut Butter Brownie or something more refined like Butter Pecan or Amaretto Cherry.

Serve it up right in a house sundae topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

If you're bringing family and REALLY want to get after it, try the Pig's Dinner options with up to 12 scoops of ice cream and toppings served in a pig trough.

Loved this place. Fun place to eat. Huge selection of food and all very good. Loved the chicken wrap sandwich and milkshake. A lot of different ice cream flavors to choose from. We had the little piggy 2 large scoops and toppings. Definitely a place to go

The food and ice cream here are superb. My husband had the Monte Cristo sandwich and said that the entire thing, including the turkey, was especially delicious. Our server, Sienna, did an exceptional job in ensuring every need we had was met - she was the last on shift the evening we were there and took care of multiple tables with customers, bussed the tables that had been left, and dished out ice cream for all the customers without any delay. And she did it all close to closing time with a smile on her face (behind the mask)! Her service made our visit especially memorable. Will definitely return here on our next vacation.

This was a great experience. Once we were seated the service was good and relatively quick. The food was delicious as well as the dessert. The ice cream menu was extensive and the flavors were rich and delicious. It was a nice old school ice cream parlor vibe. Would recommend.

The name is absolutely accurate. House of Flavors has copious delicious choices for ice cream. High quality ingredients make for an amazing experience. A midwest/Michigan favorite, i highly recommend the Superman flavor. It's always tasty, brings out your inner kid, and they make one that is delightful. In addition to a wonderful ice cream/dessert selection, the restaurant portion is just as wonderful. Enjoy a tasty meal in the morning, explore the area, then come back later for a delicious treat to finish the day.
